Take me back
It's been just over a year now since I went to Panama, since I have experienced the difference in civilization across the globe and since I have used a machete, since I had the chance to venture down to Panama and help them in any way shape or form. on a gospel mission to spread God's word, compassion and grace. Humble and Humiliated we came to each other each day and each night looking and wanting more for those around us. Strong in prayer and Held by the hope and reliance on God for the days to come, paths to be made and roads to tread.
I miss Panama so much every time I think about it, the place, the humidity, the atmosphere, the people.
Oh the people.
Heavy is my heart and light is my head.
If only you could experience first hand the love and compassion these people had.
The reassurance of each day being a gift and that anything more was a blessing.
Prayer for crops in the fields, prayers for health and prayers to just keep going.
I had a journal while I was in Panama, I wrote in it constantly and nightly.
I kept it on me at all times and noted everything and anything that made my heart jump.
But, alas, when I got back I did not keep up with the journal entries online as much as I did with pen and paper in the jungle.
So, here it goes, here are the lost entries of Panama 2011.
Starting from day one and moving onward.
