Today was a day of inside the box. Quite literally as a matter of fact. Moving in a good friend to his new humble abode, hanging out at Starbucks with my boo, catching up on the latest and greatest in the internet worlds of blogs and news. && spending some quality time with quality friends.

My morning started off with a rude awakening of my alarm clock going off at 830AM, which is considered a huge sleep-in for me and also a usual weekend wakeup time. Too bad I hit the snooze button. Every 5 minutes. For an hour. Wheups

I continued to slowly wake up my groggy self and move on to the next steps of the morning. Brush my teeth, wash my face, dress myself and paint my face. I then looked outside; and to my delight it was as rainy outside as it sounded, and it sounded bad.

Its hard to tell what the day will bring so I brought everything with me when Mackenzie came to pick me up: umbrella, change of clothes, jacket, camera, computer, present for Maisie, school stuff, knitting. You never know where you're going to be and what you're going to be doing. So I prepared for the best and the worst, assuming we would be doing something in doors.

Then I was off to face the world, discover new adventures and confront my fears! ...while enjoying some pizza and beers along the way, thanks Mark.

There is nothing quite like rainy days, although they may put people in bad moods and cause some under the weather melt downs, I rather enjoy them. They almost force you to have quality time with people and hopefully not just sit inside on the computer all day, but indulge in enticing conversation and dig deeper with those strong-bond individuals in your life. I believe that rainy days have educated me on my craftiness & creativeness. Im almost certain that rainy days is the reason I scrap book now, and I absolutely adore it! I think I have 4 full books now, old movie stubs, fake plastic medals from the olympics, stickers and photo booth strips, everything and anything all pasted into old recycled photo albums.

Oh and the best part about rainy days - the cuddling. Nothing like cuddling with the sound of pouring rain outside. knowing you are safe and dry inside.

Mackenzie and I also stopped by Shoppers Drugmart - where all their halloween candy was 75% off - HELLO! this will be perfect for the children's christmas shoe boxes at my work, I am going to attempt to have all the children make at least one box, complete with treats, toys and a hand made card, if anything at least a hand made card and maybe I could bring them back into the church to send them out in other boxes that have been donated.
Im excited none-the-less.

Donating Blood.
This is happening tomorrow, my first time.
Am I nervous; yes.
Am I scared; no.
Im interested to see what this will be like, I hope I don't faint :S that'd be pretty awkward. I am hoping that this can become a bi-monthly thing for Mackenzie and I. Along with some of our other friends who got us into to coming in and donating.

Movember
Well its here and its started.
slowly but surely there are tiny little fuzzy caterpillars on almost every guy i know's upper lip.
Its quite fabulous.

Gotta start fresh!
