MOtastic.

If you haven't heard, seen, or been introduced to someone with a moustache, you have missed the fact that November has quickly moved in to MOVEMBER. Read/em 'n'weep boys. Movember just isn't for them male folk anymore, it is for men young and old, children, women, and even their hairy legs in desperation to raise money. The pictures as follows indicate all the many ways someone may decide to promote Movember amongst their work place school, friends, or daycare!

You may be thinking, 'but wait, i don't have anything to show that i am supporting Movember! How will everyone know they can donate to me? and what the furry stache on my upper lip is for?!" Well i am here to tell you about the Sons of Movember. They are fan-fricken-tastic. movember.com, be there or be square, its your number one stop shop to all the latest news, blogs and apparel on Movember. they even have this awesome Movember package they send you, FOR FREE, to show your support for the cause! Packed with great goodies to share, post and pin on to anything and everything.

Included are the following:

  • Movember Pins
  • Movember Stickers -Bumper/Computer/Binder/LampPost
  • Movember Jelly Bracelets 'Mousache is King' - so great!
  • Posters indicating what we raise funds for and who it goes to!
  • Silk Sash - Man of Movember
  • 2 X Mens razor, mens shaving cream & mens deodorant
  • Silk Sash - Miss Movember (usually given to the man with the 'weakest' moustache)
  • 1 women's razor, women's shaving cream &women's deodorant
  • Moustache cookie Cutter
  • TShirt with a males face on it - clean shaven - draw your own Moustache
  • Movember donation box (for your work or school)
  • They even have a Movember Gala you can attend and dress up in accords to what you think represents Movember the best! Weeeooo (This, unfortunately I could not participate in this year, but will definitely keep it in mind for next!)

on top of all of this there is the website, Movember.com, which is loaded with fun ideas on how to make your party great and memorable! Wether you are looking to have a kick-off or wrap-up party.

Some ideas that I have and haven't-had-the-chance-to-do-yet:

  • Moustache Sillouettes for those who cannot grow a moustache or are of the female type

  • At your kick off party you could have an area where all the men shave everything off to start off with the right foot in Movember.
  • At your wrap up party you could have a 'shave-off' in closing to Movember!
  • A poster paper with a man with a moustache drawn and coloured on the front with only the face cut out - makes for some fun photo-opps

  • Moustache cookie decorating station -Icing/Sprinkles

  • Have four poster boards with small moustaches indicating where to write names - with four different categories as the headers (Growth, Hairiest, Sketchiest, Color) ->This will help to determine the 'Man of Movember

  • Brought Moustache cookies to my daycare and shared what Movember was and how we can help, Decorated cookies, set up a donation box and made crafts with moustaches on popsicle sticks.

  • Had kids at daycare help me cut out and colour extra decor for the Movember party
  • 'Name That Mo' - a board with 15 different moustache styles drawn out and numbered - the attendees of the party need to guess and try to fill out the correct names

  • 'Famous Mo's' - A mug covered with 15 different famous moustaches, charlie chaplin etc, and just as above, the attendees need to guess each correctly

  • Buy some brown fabric and cut out some moustaches to put around the house, on some chairs or on the front door to have a more 'mo-tastic' experience!
  • Posters 'Mo Mistas & Mo Sistas'
  • Oh. and we 'Ying&Yanged' a pizza!

Last year was my first time hosting a Movember party - and I had such a blast!! I couldn't wait to do it again this year, now that I have done it again this year, my eyes are widened to more ways to fundraise and more ways to decorate for the fabulous event!

*And ladies, there 'aint no shame in lettin' your leg hair grow to support those MO's*

Feel free to steal any of the following for your own Movember Party's!!

Hope you Enjoyed this Mo-Log. Hahaha.
